PROMPT 4

In the story Young Goodman Brown went through a lot  of obstacles that made him change from being postive to negative person , so he is a dynamic character. Young Goodman Brown started off  believing that his wife was pure and was happy. For an example he loved his wife in the beginning of the story, but then in the end of the story he didn't even want to look at her. "Poor Little Faith" thought he, for his heart smote him. "What a wretch am I, to leave her on such an errand!" Young Goodman Brown didn't want to leave Faith, but later on in the story Young GoodMan Brown changed his mine about Faith." Often, awaking suddenly at midnight, he shrank from the bosom of Faith, and at morning or eventide, when the family knelt down at prayer, he scowled, and muttered to himself, and gazed sternly at his wife, and turned away." Young Goodman stopped loving Faith.

The obstacles that changed Young Goodman was a dream. Why I know is because "Methought, as she spoke, there was trouble in her face, as if a dream had warned her what work is to be done to-night. " The story was foreshadowing that the current events that were going to occur were just a dream. Young Goodman started to have illusions. during his journey. "There may be a devilish Indian behind every tree," said Goodman Brown to himself; and he glanced fearfully behind him, as he added, "What if the devil himself should be at my very elbow!" Started to see things that normally you would not see. This is why the Young Goodman was having a dream.
