Defining literary devices
Allusion: references that author makes on a place or thing.
Plot: The start of problem in a story, or movie.
Diction:The words an author uses in a story.
Theme: The central message of a story, or a movie.
Syntax: The way the author arranges his sentences.
in/direct characterization: How the character feels. How they express themselves.
Static/dynamic characters: Character staying the same through out the story./ Character changing through out the story.
Symbolism : An object representing the book or movie.
Synecdoche: a word that represents the message.
