I learned that Octopuses have three hearts and I wonder what would happen if one heart stops functioning.

On Self Reliance

  In the past month our class has been discussing the essay by Emerson. I learned that I can apply some quotes to my life. I also learned what the thesis was about, and how he arranged his words and the types of words he used and why?   Emerson uses "On Self Reliance" as his title. "On Self Reliance" means to me to not depend on others to trust yourself. I think the thesis and the title are the same. The essay "On Self Reliance" talks about how everyone is important, and that our dissions are important. That is how the title and thesis relate to each other.   The essay "On Self Reliance" contains syntax and diction. Emerson arranged his words and chose the words so the reader can understand. Emerson uses high vocabulary words so the reader can figure out what the word means and the reader can expand his or her knowledge. Syntax was used to put a lot information into his essay. The Right to Your Opinion

W hat i learned is that there are a lot of laws I never knew of.  For example knowing what you tattoo on yourself. You can be sent to jail by having the wrong tattoos. My opinion is that people can tattoo anything they want on their  body, but other people will have different opinions. Eveyone should have the right to opinion of what they think is good or bad,  but have good feedback.

Allusion:  references that author makes on a place or thing.  Plot: The start of problem in a story, or movie. Diction:The words an author uses in a story. Theme: The central message of a story, or a movie. Syntax: The way the author arranges his sentences. in/direct characterization: How the character feels. How they express themselves. Static/dynamic characters: Character staying the same through out the story./ Character changing through out the story. Symbolism : An object representing the book or movie. Synecdoche: a word that represents the message.
