My day at the park

I was at the park today ready to play soccer. Was excited to play, because i play three times a week. I and my friends started to play whennn out of a sudden I got a cramp!!!!!!

On Self Reliance

  In the past month our class has been discussing the essay by Emerson. I learned that I can apply some quotes to my life. I also learned what the thesis was about, and how he arranged his words and the types of words he used and why?   Emerson uses "On Self Reliance" as his title. "On Self Reliance" means to me to not depend on others to trust yourself. I think the thesis and the title are the same. The essay "On Self Reliance" talks about how everyone is important, and that our dissions are important. That is how the title and thesis relate to each other.   The essay "On Self Reliance" contains syntax and diction. Emerson arranged his words and chose the words so the reader can understand. Emerson uses high vocabulary words so the reader can figure out what the word means and the reader can expand his or her knowledge. Syntax was used to put a lot information into his essay.      In the novel "The Great Gatsby" I learned that Gatsby is obsessed with Daisy. Which made Gatsby seek for desire to win Daisy's love. Gatsby can also symbolize our culture, and even our own desires.      In the novel "The Great Gatsby" we learn about Gatsby. We learn his reasons of why he wanted to become richer to accomplish his desires. Gatsby worked hard to become successful due to the reason that Daisy would not accept him as a poor man.  Gatsby wanted to become richer to win Daisy's love. Jordan said, "Gatsby bought that house so that Daisy would be just across the bay."(page,85) Gatsby used his money to live closer to Daisy to try to achieve his desire to be closer to Daisy.
